I grew up when the Womens Movement was in it's infancy and what I took away from that at a very young age was that I would have choices that women older than I did not have. I also learned that I'd have to step up and take them because nobody was going to give me those choices for free. And yet my choices were not novel but leaned toward the traditional choices made by women. My greatest joy and career choice has been that of motherhood. It was MY choice and one that I'd make any day of the year. An extension of that joy has been that of being a Nana and more recently, I have become Nana the Great(grandmother). And I have had the pleasure of teaching kids in public schools for 34 years. So children, my own and other peoples children have been and remain the central theme of my life. Yes, I am married to my HS sweetheart for soon to be 53 years. He is THE LOVE of my life. What a ride this has been and and I look forward to many more years of life, love, laughs and meeting new challenges. My favorite activity is cooking and sharing my food with family and friends.
